What do our #FOLLOWFRIDAY shout-outs mean?

November 5th, 2010
Follow Friday Shout-outs / #iamevilchef

Every Friday your Twitter stream starts to light up with #FF or #FOLLOWFRIDAY tags, including a list of several usernames. We do it too. So what does it all mean?

For the Viral Age Team, it's a chance to send a few shout-outs to people we've had fun with, chatted with, learned from, or just sheepishly admired from afar for some genius insight or curious tidbit you guys put out there.

Twitter simply wouldn't be as fun without back and forth exchanges like #iamevilchef with Ace, a friend our ours and a self-described "forum owner, cook, and mildly insane New Zealander" who always delivers!

Mike, shout-out to you too Brah! I hope the power of positive thinking keeps that cold away! =)

So props to Micah Balwin (Graphic.ly CEO) who originated this uber viral idea of "Follow Fridays". We're sure it will continue to evolve over time. For now, we have to get back to tweeting out today's #FFs. If your name shows up on our list this week, thanks for helping to make our Twitter experience great! =)

P.S. Follow #PodcampTopeka, a great social media event taking place this week-end, with Patrick O'Keefe delivering the keynote!
